Accessibility

TL;DR: We Give a Damn.

  • We’re committed to making SwearyBrand.com accessible, inclusive, and easy to use for everyone.
  • We want everyone to enjoy our funny shirts and snarky phone cases.
  • We follow accessibility best practices (like WCAG 2.2 AA) and keep improving.
  • If you use assistive technology or encounter any issues, please email us: access@swearybrand.com.
  • This is personally important to us—we’re a disability- and neurodivergent-owned brand.
  • We’re always working to improve, and we actually care (not just lip service).

We’re All About Access. And Sass.

At Sweary Brand, we believe laughter should be accessible to everyone—whether you swear like a sailor, laugh like a hyena, or scroll with a screen reader. We’re committed to making our website as inclusive, user-friendly, and accessible as possible for all visitors, including folks with disabilities.

We’re constantly working to improve the user experience for everyone, and we welcome feedback from our smart-ass customers who spot something we can do better.

What We're Doing

We aim to meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines and are actively working on:

  • Text contrast that doesn’t suck
  • Alt text on product images (even the funny ones)
  • Clear, consistent navigation (so you don’t get lost in the sarcasm)
  • Logical heading structure for screen readers
  • Keyboard-friendly browsing
  • Limiting annoying animations and motion for sensory sensitivity
  • Making sure color alone doesn’t carry meaning

We’re using Shopify 2.0, and while we customize a lot of stuff, we also rely on Shopify’s built-in accessibility features—and hold them to high standards.

Need Help Accessing Something?

If you’re having trouble viewing, navigating, or interacting with anything on our site, we want to hear from you—seriously. Email us at access@swearybrand.com and we’ll do everything we can to fix it fast or offer an alternate way to access what you need.

We may be a small biz, but we give a big damn. This is personally important to us as a disability- and neurodivergent-owned brand.

Accessibility Is an Ongoing Vibe

This isn’t a one-and-done situation. As we grow, we’ll continue improving our digital accessibility, especially as we add new content, product lines, and features. We also aim to be mindful of neurodivergent and chronically ill users—because some of us are them.
