Our Mission

At Sweary Brand, we believe two things:

  1. the chaos of life is best treated with healthy doses of humor, sarcasm, and swearing, and
  2. expressing yourself in an unfiltered, authentic way sparks real connections between like-minded souls.

We design funny shirts with sayings that capture that energy — because sometimes the best way to deal with life’s bullshit is to laugh and swear at it.

Where Funny Shirts with Sayings Meet Real Life

Our story begins in the mid-1990s, when we started gifting my dad, Tom, with hilarious novelty t-shirts.

Tom was awesome — easily one of the funniest people I’ve ever known. A legend in his own right, he had an endless arsenal of jokes, pranks, and stories from a lifetime of shenanigans. He never met a stranger and was always ready to “shoot the shit.”

The look on his face when he saw those funny tees? Absolutely priceless. He wore them like badges of honor, loving every smile, laugh, and impromptu conversation they sparked with total strangers.

We realized the world needs more of that kind of joy — the kind that sneaks up on you in the grocery store when someone’s shirt says exactly what you’ve been thinking or saying.

So we made Sweary Brand. Woman-owned, family-run, fueled by laughter and swear words. Inspiration hits us everywhere — while driving, at the store, during awkward social encounters… you get it.

I set out to build a brand that’s equal parts smart, sweary, and fun after spending more than two decades doing creative digital marketing work and consulting. I come armed with a master’s degree in Digital Audience Strategy, extensive graduate studies in educational technology, a journalism degree, AND a deep love of sarcasm. Sweary Brand is my homage to my dad, my feisty Sicilian mom who tolerated his shenanigans and always believed in me, and anyone who’s ever used humor and swearing to cope. I see you. 🖤

Tom was my Gramps and my partner-in-crime! I've definitely inherited his wicked sense of humor. Currently, I'm the resident jack-of-all-trades and learning a lot. I'm a college senior majoring in film and working on screenwriting. I'm a huge fan of comedy — my dream job is writing for SNL. Until then, I’m getting lots of material from life.

We’re dogs. We have no idea what’s going on, but we are 100% here for the chaos. Our job consists of making people laugh and barking at everyone and everything that passes in front of our house. One of us also might have ADHD, like most of the humans in the house — we'll let you guess which one. We get paid in cuddles and couch time.
